Associate Data Steward
firstPRO is seeking an Associate Data Steward to play a pivotal role in crafting, upkeeping, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of master and product data essential for supporting business operations. Operating under the guidance of senior data stewards or managers, this role collaborates closely with diverse functional groups to ensure timely analysis, control, entry, and release of master and product data into relevant business systems aligned with specific business needs. This is a hybrid contract position, located in Trenton, NJ, so candidates must be located within a commutable distance to be considered. Compensation for this role is up to $35/hr., based on experience.
Responsibilities:

- Generate, analyze, sustain, monitor, and oversee master data in ERP and/or other integrated solutions, or product data in PLM. This includes managing change requests, change orders, and deviations to facilitate new product introductions and product changes.
- Conduct audits for data accuracy, enhance data quality, and provide user training to ensure consistent and reliable results.
- Adhere to practices, policies, and standards outlined by Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
- Identify weaknesses in processes and data, escalating them to the appropriate EDM team leadership.
- Apply policies and procedures to guarantee uniform, accurate, and consistent data, supporting audit requirements such as SOX and/or Quality.
- Provide support for testing during upgrades, break-fix situations, and enhancements, including integration testing from various sources to target systems.
- Engage actively in the Data Steward Community of Practice to acquire and apply data stewardship standards, processes, and practices.
Requirements:

- Possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business or a related discipline.
- Accumulate 0 to 2 years of experience with ERP systems, master data management systems, or product lifecycle management systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Apply skills at the designated proficiency level, as outlined in the Data Steward Skills Model.
