IT Generalist
firstPRO is seeking an IT Generalist for our client located in the Conshohocken area. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity, so candidates must live within a commutable distance of the home office to be considered. Compensation for this role is up to $75,000/ year, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations and upkeep of services, systems, and the IT infrastructure, encompassing hardware, software, telecommunications, networks, and IT environment controls to ensure their secure and reliable functionality.
- Enforcing compliance with established IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures.
- Addressing intricate technical issues through troubleshooting and resolution, leveraging advanced technical expertise.
- Demonstrating a robust grasp of networking, covering LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, NAT, Port Forwarding, vLAN, and Wireless.
- Coordinating and executing network upgrades, suggesting enhancements, patches, new applications, and equipment.
- Conducting root cause analysis and rectifying faults and errors in applications.
- Proactively managing and prioritizing various interconnected projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and subsequent communications.
- Crafting user guides, training materials, policies, and relevant documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolving daily support tickets, providing end-user support via phone, email, and remote control.
- Adhering to off-hours duty requirements, ensuring availability to address issues in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Overseeing VoIP phones and associated networks, administering the backup process, and managing the entire life cycle of IT assets (hardware and software).
- Swiftly resolving technical operational challenges and contributing to defining and implementing short-term and long-term goals for the IT Department.
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software, resolving user and system problems, and engaging in related tasks.
- Designing, constructing, configuring, and sustaining servers and workstations for internal and customer systems.
- Collaborating with the Service department and customers by remotely troubleshooting issues and assisting in the installation and configuration of software.
- Supporting the sales team in designing and implementing systems.
Qualifications:
- Preference for CompTIA Network+, A+, or equivalent.
- Experience in Microsoft AD and RedHat Linux.
