Desktop Support Technician
Our client is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Analyst for a 6-week contract role. The primary focus of this project is to reimage computers with operating systems and applications, as well as install new special keyboards and badge access single sign-on across multiple healthcare facilities. The role involves partnering with and being supervised by a Field Site Leader at each location, adhering to a prescribed script for reimaging machines, and providing IT support to customers and clinicians in various settings.
Responsibilities:
- Reimage computers with OS and applications using a USB stick, with an estimated duration of 30 minutes per PC.
- Install new special keyboards on approximately 5k to 6k computers across 4 hospitals and multiple outpatient facilities.
- Add badge access single sign-on to each PC to facilitate badge tap access for nurses and doctors.
- Partner with and be supervised by Field Site Leaders at each location to ensure smooth project execution.
- Handle variety in dealing with customers, clinicians, and different locations while maintaining a patient and service-oriented approach.
- Provide additional IT support as requested by staff, following instructions from our client, and demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and willingness to assist.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of desktop support experience with imaging expertise.
- Proficiency in hardware deployment and imaging processes is essential.
- Previous experience in healthcare settings is highly advantageous.
- Must be comfortable working in a hospital setting and demonstrate sensitivity to patients' needs.
- Punctuality, reliability, and patience are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Candidates must reside within driving distance of the project locations and have reliable transportation.
- Fully vaccinated, flu shot administered, and non-tobacco users.
- Strict adherence to wearing masks is mandatory in clinical settings, except during designated breaks.
- Shift timing will fall within the range of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no start times earlier than 8:00 AM or later than 9:00 AM.
