Telecom Analyst
firstPRO is seeking a Telecom Analyst, reporting to the IT Operations Manager – Telecom, who will be responsible for providing advanced technical support across multiple telecom platforms, ensuring exceptional service and troubleshooting. This role involves working closely with IT teams to resolve issues, maintaining high standards in quality assurance for telecom designs and installations, and adhering to established IT Network policies. This is a long-term consulting opportunity with compensation of up to $40/hr., based on experience.
Responsibilities:

- Provide expert telecom troubleshooting for systems including VoIP, Analog/POTS, Cellular, and various IT software applications.
- Develop and track metrics for reporting and fault prevention and recommend permanent fixes for identified issues.
- Collaborate with IT associates, business partners, and third-party vendors to optimize telecom services and standards.
- Manage telecom system installations and integrations, ensuring they meet performance standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telecom technology and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Support special projects, develop documentation, and provide leadership to other IT associates.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; relevant certifications like Network+ or VoIP Analyst preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience with a focus on telecom.
- Proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint, O365, and Teams.
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
- Experience with 8×8 or similar VoIP providers and working with third-party vendors is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (10%-20%) and work outside regular hours as required.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as maneuvering network equipment and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
