Our client is looking for an experienced SQL developer/data engineer to support their team. This position is for an experienced contractor working fully remotely on EST.

Experience Needed:

• 5-8 or more years of developer/data engineering experience is required.
• Experience working with financial systems in Insurance or related industry, strongly desired.
• Demonstrable, strong experience developing databases, procedures, views, functions, etc. in MS SQL Server.
• Demonstrable, strong experience developing ETL packages with MS SSIS.
• Experience working with code repositories for version control for database objects and SSIS packages.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar platform that supports software development lifecycle.
• Experience with setting up repositories, policies and configuration of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Experience with extracting data from various sources, including databases, CRM or ERP systems, flat files, web services, etc.
• Experience with migration of SQL “on-prem”/VM-based databases to Azure SQL instances.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory development and Snowflake a strong plus.
• Strong Agile/SCRUM development practices are a must.
