firstPRO is seeking a Business Analyst to work closely with the development team to build new features and integrations as part of a multi-year roadmap. This role involves gathering requirements, leading meetings, organizing sprints, and ensuring effective communication between business users, stakeholders, and the technical team. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. This is a 12-month consulting opportunity that requires a hybrid presence in Camden, NJ.

Responsibilities

    • Support and maintain production environment, ensuring system reliability and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the development team to organize and structure sprints, wireframe features, and evaluate data for accuracy.
    • Lead UI/UX interviews with end users and business stakeholders to finalize enhancements or new feature designs.
    • Review and gather comprehensive business requirements for new features, ensuring all necessary information is collected before development begins.
    • Manage incoming support requests, assign tickets, and prioritize feature work and fixes in collaboration with the team.
    • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions, development team planning, and retrospective meetings to ensure effective project delivery.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation and participate in the QA and testing phases to ensure quality.
    • Track the development team's work and report progress to estimate timelines for current and future tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in gathering software requirements, writing functional and technical specifications, and conducting manual testing.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum expertise, with experience in organizing sprints and leading meetings.
  • Ability to inspect Web Browser source code and perform code analysis.
  • Proficient in writing SQL statements and interfacing with databases.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to document processes and communicate effectively with business users.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving skills with a focus on understanding and analyzing business problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable terms for stakeholders.
