Website Management Contractor
firstPRO is seeking a skilled Website Management Contractor with expertise in WordPress and UX/UI design to maintain, optimize, and enhance our organization’s website. This role involves ensuring the website delivers exceptional user experience, supports organizational goals, and remains secure and compliant. The contractor will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to execute updates, improve functionality, and align the site with strategic marketing initiatives. This is a 6–12-month consulting opportunity that requires an occasional onsite presence at the home office in Aston, PA. Compensation for this role is up to $35/hr., based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the website using WordPress, ensuring functionality, security, and performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate backend access and development efforts.
- Conduct user experience research and implement intuitive design enhancements to improve navigation and usability.
- Develop landing pages, update content, and manage calendars to support marketing campaigns.
- Optimize website elements for search engine visibility and organic traffic growth.
- Analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage plugins, upgrades, and integrations while ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Ensure the website complies with ADA accessibility and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with WordPress development, including themes, plugins, and customizations.
- Expertise in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for advanced customization.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ADA compliance and accessibility standards.
- Preferred: WordPress certification and/or experience in the financial industry.
