In all industries, employers and employees alike are always searching for ways to be more productive. This has especially been the case over the past few months where the COVID-19 crisis has forced many of us to work remotely. There are many apps that can help to boost productivity. Here are six examples.

1. Trello

Trello is an excellent tool for team collaboration. It uses customizable lists, boards, and cards to present visually the information you need to understand who is working on what and what the progress of each project is. You can also assign tasks and due dates to team members to keep everyone on track. Trello can be used on mobile devices or computers.

2. ToDoist

ToDoist is a simple app to help you keep track of all of the tasks you are responsible for and when they are due. It can be used for everything from keeping track of errands to managing big projects between team members. It can also be integrated with over 60 other platforms. It can be used on computers or mobile devices.

3. HootSuite

Social media is definitely important when it comes to marketing and getting your brand out there, but sites like Facebook, Twitter, and even LinkedIn can become a time suck if you let them. HootSuite allows you to schedule out social posts without spending time on the individual platforms. It also comes in handy when you need to remember to post certain content on certain days, like holidays or events.

4. StayFocusd

Facebook and Twitter are not the only sites that can suck time if you let them. You may be someone who wastes a lot of time reading the news on CNN.com or watching videos on YouTube. StayFocusd is a Google Chrome extension that will kick you off certain sites after a certain period of time. So, for example, if you only want to spend 10 minutes on Facebook every day, it will prompt you to get back to work after your allotted 10 minutes.

5. Dropbox

Even if your team isnā€™t working remotely, itā€™s helpful to have all of your files in one place that can be easily accessed on the computer or the phone. Dropbox gives you this ability. You can also use iCloud or Google Drive for this as well.

6. Slack

When it comes to team communication, no other program allows you to stay organized like Slack does. You can create different channels that are related to specific clients or projects, and you can integrate other programs, like Google Drive, with Slack.Ā

These are just six examples of apps that can increase your productivity. There are a ton of other apps out there for any task you need help with. All you have to do is some quick research to find the best ones.
